ILC Washington
ILC began working with Washington State’s Kalispel Tribe in mid-2005. By 2006, an online pilot had been created, and so had ILC Washington, a tribal enterprise wholly-owned by the Kalispels. With ongoing assistance from ILC, ILC Washington is developing further resources, and is working with members of the Washington Legislature to make it possible to expand the company’s publishing program, launching statewide pilots and generally leading the way towards the new generation of educational programs called for by the Legislature in House Bill 1496, passed in April, 2005.
