It's become increasingly obvious that the Big Tech Story of the 21st century is the web - or whatever we're going to call this increasingly ubiquitous global network in future. The web is changing virtually every aspect of life on our planet, in many cases outstripping our ability to wrap our heads around the possibilities it offers. That's particularly true of education. It's the evening of February 5th in Kaslo. It's almost 5PM and snowing heavily. Next Monday I'll be winging my way to Johannesburg, South Africa, where the weather will be MUCH warmer, to spend an intensive few days with colleagues led by North West University's Director of Indigenous Knowledge Studies, Dr. Hassan Kaya, at a workshop sponsored by the Development Bank of Southern Africa.
